El suboficial de tercera Willi Armando Lozano Ruiz murió, tras recibir un impacto de bala. El agente patrullaba la zona de Pachacútec en Ventanilla, acompañado de otro agente y a bordo de una moto.

Ambos agentes se encontraban por la Av. Caminos del Inca, en el asentamiento humano Pesquero, cuando detectaron a dos sujetos sospechosos a bordo de una moto.

Los policías intentaron intervenir a dichos sujetos, pero uno de los individuos disparó, una de las balas impactó al suboficial Lozano Ruiz. Los motorizados se dieron a la fuga.
