Una unidad interprovincial perteneciente a la empresa de Turismo Barranca provoco un accidente de tránsito en el km 60 de la carretera panamericana norte a la altura del sector de campamento.
Según versión de los testigos la imprudencia fue por parte del ómnibus de la empresa de Turismo Barranca que se dirigía de Lima a la provincia de Barranca iba a colisionar frontalmente con el ómnibus de la empresa turismo express que se dirigía a Lima. Gracias a Dios solo hubo poli contusos.
