Con el apoyo de 200 agentes de la Unidad de Servicios Especiales de la Policía Nacional, el Ministerio de Cultura recuperó el sitio arqueológico Chacra Socorro, ubicado en la provincia de Huaura, región Lima, que había sido ocupado por un grupo de invasores desde el lunes 15.
El operativo se realizó en coordinación con el personal de la Dirección General de Defensa de Patrimonio y la Procuraduría Pública del dicho portafolio.
En esta acción, ejecutada en aplicación de los artículos 65 y 66 de la Ley N° 30230 sobre la Recuperación Extrajudicial de la Propiedad Estatal, se retiró a aproximadamente 50 usurpadores que habían instalado precarias viviendas en el área de esta zona intangible.
La comisaría de Huaura realizará patrullaje permanente en la zona para evitar nuevas invasiones.
De esta manera, el Ministerio de Cultura reafirma su decisión de combatir con todas las herramientas legales las afectaciones al patrimonio arqueológico.
Asimismo, recuerda que la invasión de áreas intangibles es un delito e invoca a la población a no dejarse sorprender por traficantes de tierras o personas inescrupulosas que las incitan a ocupar zonas protegidas.
