Durante el recorrido, se coordinó la recuperación ambiental y promoción del humedal Santa Rosa, el cual posee una variedad de aves. En este lugar, se tiene proyectado mejorar sus vías de acceso, la infraestructura, señalización y los servicios higiénicos.
Igualmente, intervendrán en la puesta en valor de las manualidades y la creatividad de los artesanos, quienes se dedican a la restauración textil, pinturas y cerámicas de la cultura Chancay. La obra comprenderá la construcción del Centro de Interpretación Artesanal, ideal para exponer y comercializar sus productos de calidad.
Para sacar adelante estas inversiones, la Dirección Regional de Comercio Exterior y Turismo será la responsable de monitorear el avance de los estudios técnicos que elaborará Cosco Shipping Ports.
Mientras tanto, el financiamiento será gestionado ante el Mincetur, a través del Plan Copesco. El objetivo es mejorar la industria sin chimeneas a nivel de las nueve provincias.
