En el marco de la Semana de la Prevención del Embarazo Adolescente, se organizó un concurso de canto denominado “Tú Decides, Todo a su Tiempo”, dirigido a los alumnos del nivel secundaria de la institución educativa “Santa Rosa de Yangas”, distrito Santa Rosa de Quives, Canta.
La actividad estuvo orientada a crear conciencia en las menores de edad sobre las consecuencias de tener un hijo no planificado, además de su vulnerabilidad a infecciones de transmisión sexual, situación que es un problema de salud pública nacional.
Durante la jornada, los profesionales del centro de salud de Yangas, impartieron temas relacionados a comportamientos y hábitos saludables; además de demostrarles las limitaciones en sus planes de vida y el acceso a oportunidades de desarrollo.
En tal sentido, en cumplimiento a las políticas públicas implementadas por la actual gestión en este sector, la Dirección Regional de Salud viene afianzando diversas acciones para acercarse a este grupo etario, mediante servicios diferenciados en los establecimientos hospitalarios, foros educativos y campañas informativas, lo que ayudará a reducir los índices de morbilidad de la adolescente y su bebé.
