Perú dio campanazo de apertura de negociaciones en la Bolsa de Valores de Londres

Con un tradicional campanazo simbólico, el Perú abrió hoy la sesión de negociaciones de la Bolsa de Valores de Londres, considerada la plaza bursatil más importante del mundo, en el marco del tramo final de un road show de inversiones encabezado por el ministro de Economía y Finanzas, Luis Miguel Castilla.

La sede el London Stock Exchange, el nombre en inglés de esta plaza bursatil, se vistió con los colores rojo y blanco de la bandera peruana para este importante acto, que incluyó la difusión de un video promocional de las riquezas del Perú.

“Esta es la segunda vez que estoy aquí y para mí es un privilegio y un honor que el Perú tenga la oportunidad de abrir la sesión de la bolsa londinense”, manifestó el ministro Castilla.

Por su parte, el director general de la bolsa londinense, Alexander Justham, destacó la fortaleza de la economía peruana, considerado uno de los países con el crecimiento más rápido en el mundo, y mencionó la cooperación en curso con la Bolsa de Valores de Lima (BVL), cuyo presidente Cristian Laub, estuvo presente en este acto.

En esta plaza bursatil, creada en 1801 y cuyo lema es en latín es “Dictum meum pactum”, “Mi palabra es mi pacto”, negocian cerca de 3 mil importantes empresas de diversos rubros y de más de 60 países.
