La construcción del Terminal Portuario Multipropósito de Chancay, no solo traerá desarrollo para la región Lima, sino que impulsará incrementar y mejorar la capacidad hotelera en las diferentes provincias, como Huaral, para recibir al gran flujo de visitantes que se proyecta, sostuvo la presidenta de Ahora ora Huaral, Rosa Elena Rosa Elena Balcazar.
La dirigente de la Asociación de Hoteles, Restaurantes y Afines de la provincia de Huaral (Ahora Huaral), subrayó a la Agencia Andina que los empresarios huaralinos saludan la inversión china para hacer realidad el megapuerto de Chancay.
Como se recuerda, recientemente, en la sede de Palacio de Gobierno, las empresas Volcan Compañía Minera S.A.A. y Cosco Shipping Corporation Limited firmaron el acuerdo societario para la construcción de dicho terminal portuario, cuyo costo ascenderá a más de 3 mil millones de dólares.
Balcazar mencionó que como dicha iniciativa de gran envergadura y moderna tecnología contribuirá a captar más visitantes tanto para el turismo como para la mano de obra, porque generará puestos de trabajo, la capacidad hotelera tendrá que ampliarse y acondicionarse mucho mejor.
Citó, por ejemplo, que en el distrito de Chancay aumentó significativamente la capacidad hotelera al igual que en Huaral donde hay gran proyección. “En Semana Santa hemos recibido 60 mil visitantes”, resaltó.
En ese contexto, la presidenta de Ahora Huaral dijo que el empresariado local espera que sigan llegando más trasnacionales porque en la provincia de Huaral habrá concentración de visitantes y muchas personas trabajarán en la ejecución del proyecto.
Balcazar refirió que el megapuerto de Chancay traerá desarrollo en la actividad económica y social de Chancay y la provincia de Huaral, pero además turística; “por eso esperamos que las autoridades competentes cumplan con respetar los espacios turísticos naturales y el cuidado medioambiental dentro de la ejecución de la ambiciosa infraestructura”.
