La iniciativa, dispuesta por el gobernador regional Ricardo Chavarría Oria, está dirigido a quienes presentan sintomatología leve y en casos excepcionales de pacientes asintomáticos. Estos cinco espacios serán acondicionados en zonas estratégicas, con énfasis en las provincias de Huaura, Barranca, Huaral, Cañete y Huarochirí.
La implementación comprenderá en la dotación de módulos o carpas; camas clínicas y plegables; adaptación de pisos de geomenbrana; contratación del recurso humano (médicos, enfermeras, técnicos, psicólogos); manejo de residuos sólidos, así como equipos biomédicos y mobiliarios.
El Gobierno Regional de Lima asumirá los costos para todos estos lugares, que ascenderá a 1.2 millones de soles; mientras que el gobierno local de cada jurisdicción aportará con la alimentación, electricidad, agua potable y menajes (sábanas, almohadas, frazadas y útiles de aseo).
De esta manera, la actual gestión regional busca fortalecer los mecanismos de vigilancia, prevención, respuesta y control para asegurar la vida y la salud de la población, frente a esta dura batalla contra la pandemia del Coronavirus.
