Guillain Barré: Nutricionista recomienda evitar el alcohol y consumir alimentos ricos en vitaminas

La doctora Isabel Acevedo, profesora de Nutrición de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), recomendó una serie de alimentos agrupados en los que sería la «dieta anti-inflamatoria«, la cual ayuda a fortalecer el organismo ante el síndrome Guillain Barré. 

Como se recuerda, al 13 de junio, el último balance del Ministerio de Saludseñalaba que hay 524 pacientes con el Síndrome de Guillain-Barré en todo el país. Además, la Ministra descartó que el consumo de pollo tenga relación con el contagio de este virus

Debido a lo poco que se conoce de la enfermedad y su forma de contagio, la nutricionista recomendó cocinar adecuadamente las carnes y huevos, lavar bien las frutas y verduras; y desinfectar los utensilios después de haber cortado la carne cruda.

“La dieta antiinflamatoria requiere de fuentes excelentes de proteínas como el atún, caballa, pollo, entre otros, evitando el consumo de carnes rojas»; precisó.

Alimentos para fortalecer el organismo

– La especialista de Nutrición recomendó consumir alimentos con ácidos grasos esenciales como Omega 3 y 6, que se encuentran en pescados oleosos, nueces, semillas y sus aceites, y el aceite de olivaEstas grasas son necesarias para la integridad de la vaina de melina. 

Como se sabe, el Guillain Barré es una enfermedad autoinmune en la que el paciente presenta una infección por bacterias o virus, a partir del cual el cuerpo genera anticuerpos que termina atacando las células nerviosas, destruyendo la melina que es la funda protectora de los nervios en los seres humanos. 

RECOMENDACIONES

– Alimentos ricos en vitaminas. Por ejemplo, en complejo B, como los granos enteros, centeno, quinua, maíz, cebada y verduras frescas; vitamina A, como las hortalizas y frutas, y vitamina E, que se encuentran en las paltas. La fresa, kiwi, papa y camote son ricos en vitamina C.

– Alimentos con magnesio, existente en todas las hortalizas verdes; zinc, como el huevo, pescado y lentejas. Asimismo, en cobre, como nueces, avena y hongos. 

¿Qué evitar?

Acevedo recomendó evitar productor que estimulan la adrenalina, pues agotan la vitalidad. Entre ellos, el alcohol, té, café, bebidas carbonatadas, pasteles, bizcochos y dulces.
