Los estudiantes de los últimos ciclos de la especialidad de Ingeniería Pesquera de la Universidad Nacional José Faustino Sánchez Carrión recibieron una capacitación en el manejo de instrumentos de control y vigilancia de la Pesca Artesanal, en la ciudad de Huacho, Huaura.

Para ello, el Gobierno Regional de Lima adquirió modernos equipos que consistieron en: GPS, radios, ecosondas, medidores de temperatura de agua, entre otros.

Un especialista del Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo Pesquero (Fondepes) enseñó a los jóvenes sobre la puesta en operatividad de los instrumentos de última tecnología con miras, a que cuando egresen de la casa superior de estudios, contribuyan con promover una pesca responsable, previniendo la depredación del recurso; además de poder desarrollar una navegación segura en el mar.

El director regional de Producción Isaías Ravichagua Bejarano, sostuvo que la implementación del referido proyecto, también, está contemplado para el sur chico e incluso se construirán almacenes, donde se instalarán los sistemas de monitoreo de esta actividad.

Por su parte, el gobernador regional Ricardo Chavarría Oria instó a los estudiantes universitarios aprovechar al máximo estas jornadas académicas. “Su aporte será crucial cuando salgan al campo, para acabar con esas prácticas inadecuadas y prohibidas que reducen nuestras especies marinas, impacta en la economía y afecta la seguridad alimentaria”, puntualizó.
