El consumo de Internet en dicho segmento, que constituye el motor de la fuerza laboral y de la economía en el Perú, registra un crecimiento anual de 9% desde hace cuatro años, debido a la mayor y mejor oferta de planes para el acceso a este servicio, sostuvo Nagahama.
Además, precisó que un 31% de estos emprendedores superan los 45 años de edad, lo que contradice al supuesto de que las personas mayores no emplean Internet.
“Si bien algunos adultos no tienen la misma apertura a la tecnología, los micros y pequeños empresarios de hoy han aprendido a convertir al Internet en un aliado”, sostuvo.
En tanto, el uso de Internet en el mencionado segmento suele ser de forma funcional, es decir, representa una herramienta de trabajo porque reciben pedidos, responden solicitudes y cierran negociaciones.
Entre las principales actividades que realizan en Internet, el 72% usa el correo electrónico y el 51% accede a redes sociales como Facebook o Twitter. Además, el 47% visita sitios de educación en búsqueda de información especializada que aporte en su trabajo
