A fin de evitar que pacientes que pierden la vida por COVID-19 permanezcan mayor tiempo en sus viviendas incrementando la angustia y dolor de los familiares, el Gobierno Regional del Callao, a través de la Dirección Regional de Salud (Diresa), implementará tres contenedores refrigerados para albergar a los fallecidos, mientras se cumplen los protocolos establecidos para su cremación o inhumación.
Los contenedores estarán en un área que funcionará como un anexo de la morgue del Hospital Daniel Alcides Carrión para hacer frente a la alta demanda de servicios fúnebres que se ha generado por las cremaciones o inhumaciones que pueden llegar a tener un tiempo de espera mayor a 24 horas para cada caso.
Dichas estructuras frigoríficas se ubican dentro de la Villa Deportiva Regional, en un área alejada de la población y en estricta aplicación de las normas sanitarias, ambientales y de bioseguridad, informó la entidad regional.
Kathey Pacheco Vargas, titular de la Diresa, señaló que no hay motivo para temer el contagio por el cuerpo de un fallecido por COVID-19 ni ningún tipo de propagación en áreas circundantes, pues los contenedores son totalmente herméticos y –además-, porque el virus no permanece muchas horas dentro del fallecido.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids.
