Las autoridades sanitarias detectaron en las últimas horas 17 casos sospechosos de coronavirus, luego de evaluar a 4.800 pasajeros de 32 vuelos que arribaron al país en el aeropuerto internacional Jorge Chávez.
Según el Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil (Indeci), desde las 00:00 horas del sábado hasta las 9:00 a.m. del domingo al terminal aéreo del Callao aterrizaron 130 vuelos procedentes de todo el mundo con más de 13.800 pasajeros. Otros 9 casos posibles con coronavirus se detectaron el viernes, pero luego fueron descartados.
“En comunicación con la tripulación, con las líneas aéreas y con el mapeo que se realiza, de esos 130 vuelos hemos evaluado de manera más específica 32 vuelos […] Con ese flujo, lo que está haciendo el Ministerio de Salud (Minsa) es determinar qué pacientes hay”, explicó el jefe del Indeci, general de brigada (r) Jorge Chávez.
Cuando se detecta un posible infectado -agregó el funcionario- es trasladado a una zona de aislamiento, que está en el mismo aeropuerto dentro de un hospital de campaña administrado por el Minsa con apoyo de Essalud.
Chávez señaló que todos los pasajeros están llenando antes de aterrizar una Declaración Jurada de Salud. Si la tripulación reporta un enfermo o la información dada en las fichas levanta sospechas, los pasajeros de ese avión pasan por una evaluación que hace unos días duraba de 3 a 4 horas y ahora se redujo a una hora.
“Hay equipos de 14 a 15 personas que hacen esa evaluación rápida. Pedimos comprensión para evaluarlos durante al menos una hora tanto por la parte médica como para tener una trazabilidad, es decir, de dónde vienen y hacia dónde van, por parte de Migraciones”, indicó el jefe de Indeci.
A los pasajeros procedentes de España, Italia, Francia o China, que llegan en un vuelo directo o por conexión se les comunica que debe tomar aislamiento domiciliario durante 14 días. Según el funcionario, la Policía Nacional está vigilando desde hace dos días que esta restricción se cumpla.
