Según la nota de prensa del despacho congresal, informa que Luego de varias reuniones entre el congresista Elard Melgar y la sociedad civil de la provincia de Huaral en donde estos últimos pidieron de forma inmediata la creación de la sede dela Universidad Nacional José Faustino Sánchez Carrión en su provincia. Ante ello Melgar Valdez ha enviado oficio al Rector de la universidad Sánchez Carrión, Dr. Alberto Baldeos Ardián solicitando gestionar y autorizar el funcionamiento de sede académica universitaria en la provincia huaralina.
Según Oficio Nº127 – 2012/EMV-CR, el congresista pide considerar dentro de las prioridades de Rectorado la celebración de un Convenio Marco de Cooperación Interinstitucional, con arreglo a las normas universitarias vigentes; con la finalidad de implementar en el más breve plazo el funcionamiento de las escuelas en las especialidades necesarias para el desarrollo de las actividades económicas de la provincia, cuyas actividades académicas, científicas y administrativas podrían desarrollarse en las infraestructura existentes en la provincia.
El parlamentario Elard Melgar se ha reunido con el Rector Baldeos Ardián para ver el funcionamiento de la sede universitaria en la en la provincia de Huaral, teniendo una respuesta favorable por parte de la máxima autoridad de la casa de Carrión.
“Ya hemos tenido una reunión previa con el congresista Elard Melgar y ante esa iniciativa del congresista se tendría que hacer las coordinaciones con las autoridades locales según sus necesidades para presentar el requerimiento de las facultades. El congresista está bastante entusiasmado y buscaremos el acercamiento con las autoridades a fin de lograr firmar un convenio previo un dialogo de pautas”. Expresó el Rector dela Universidad José F. Sánchez Carrión a los medios de comunicación.
No obstante, Melgar Valdez ha manifestado que seguirá gestionando hasta lograr que la provincia de Huaral pueda contar con una filial de la universidad Sánchez Carrión para el progreso no solo de los jóvenes huaralinos sino también de la provincia y nuestra región.
