En sesión ordinaria, el Comité Ejecutivo de la Mancomunidad Regional Pacífico Centro Amazónico (PACA) eligió al gobernador regional de Lima, Ricardo Chavarría Oria, como presidente ejecutivo de la entidad que integra los gobiernos regionales de Ucayali, Huánuco, Pasco, Junín y Huancavelica.
Acto seguido, el titular de la región Lima fue juramentado por su homólogo de Ucayali, Francisco Pezo Torres, como representante de seis regiones para el periodo 2019-2020, asumiendo el compromiso de trabajar articuladamente en aras de fortalecer la institucionalidad de la mancomunidad y lograr el desarrollo sostenido y armónico de los pueblos de la costa, sierra y selva.
Ricardo Chavarría indicó que próximamente estará convocando a una asamblea general para establecer una agenda común y planificar la solución de los problemas a nivel de la macrorregión, así como liderar acciones para viabilizar obras de interés interregional.“Es una tarea de mucha responsabilidad, pero estaremos a la altura para cumplir con las expectativas, al establecer líneas de acción en materia de inversión pública en distintos campos, lo que generará mayor movimiento comercial y mejor calidad de vida para la población”, enfatizó.
De esta manera, se sostendrá un acercamiento con el Poder Ejecutivo a fin de ser escuchados y atenderse las prioridades de las regiones involucradas, en los sectores de salud, educación, transporte, agricultura, turismo, seguridad e infraestructura, entre otros.
