La Brigada de Bomberos Rurales de Dunmore no pudo con la intensidad de un incendio forestal registrado el pasado 4 de enero en Shoalhaven, Nueva Gales del Sur en Australia. Ellos se vieron obligados a retirarse de la zona para salvar sus vidas.
Durante minutos, el equipo trató de aplacar las llamas pero tuvieron que retirarse antes de ser alcanzados por el fuerte siniestro que avanzaba rápidamente por el bosque.
A los tres minutos de haberse retirado el grupo, la carretera se vio en medio de fuego y humareda acabando con todo a su paso.
“Esto demuestra lo que sucede en poco más de 3 minutos. El equipo continuó por otros 9 minutos en el terreno y se trajo un resultado positivo, con una tripulación completamente segura, un camión protegido y la propiedad salvada. Se le recuerda a la gente que debe respetar las advertencias. Este no es un lugar agradable para estar cuando un incendio impacta en cualquier momento, sin previo aviso”, escribió el Cuerpo de Bomberos luego de este impactante momento que vivió parte de su equipo.
