La ministra de Trabajo y Promoción del Empleo, Sylvia Cáceres, anunció que se emitirá un decreto de supremo para facilitar que las empresas adopten la modalidad del teletrabajo, a fin de que los trabajadores que son sospechosos de tener el coronavirus laboren desde sus casas.
En entrevista con RPP TV, la funcionaria remarcó que la actual legislación no es flexible para la implementación del teletrabajo, por lo que darán facilidades a través de normas. Remarcó que la medida solo será aplicable hasta que concluya la emergencia.
“Recordar cuál es el marco que le permite al empleador y a los trabajadores, por ejemplo, organizar y reorganizar sus tiempos de trabajo, modificar las jornadas de trabajo por acuerdo, y empezamos a introducir el hecho de que la legislación prevé que el empleador y los trabajadores se relacionan a través de la modalidad del teletrabajo”, expresó Sylvia Cáceres.
“Hay un marco normativo que no resulta del todo flexible para efectos de enfrentar el aislamiento de los trabajadores en el supuesto que puedan ingresar bajo la sospecha de tener el coronavirus o de haber tenido contacto con personas o haber venido de los países donde está más presente”, agregó.
En el caso de los trabajadores que requieran de un aislamiento por venir de países que registran un alto índice de personas con coronavirus, la ministra de Trabajo indicó que se les dará la opción de hacer uso de vacaciones pendientes y así cumplir la cuarentena.
Además, remarcó que, si el trabajador no tiene vacaciones pendientes, entonces podrá solicitar el adelanto de vacaciones. Incluso, señaló que otra opción es pedir licencia con cargo a compensar a futuro los días no laborados.
