Ingenio peruano: elaboran alcohol antiséptico a base de papa nativa de Huancavelica

Para hacer frente a la pandemia del coronavirus (covid-19), pobladores del distrito de Pazos, ubicado en la provincia de Tayacaja, región Huancavelica, recibieron la donación de 2,800 frascos de alcohol antiséptico para manos obtenido de papa nativa.

Este producto fue elaborado por la empresa Espíritu Andino de Lima que utilizó los tubérculos ecológicos que estos agricultores producen en los extensos terrenos alto andinos de la comunidad campesina de Pazos, ubicada en la zona nororiental de Huancavelica.
De esta forma los productores de Pazos aprovechan parte de la cosecha de papa nativa de la presente campaña agrícola, ya que anteriormente vendían su producción para el destilado de vodka 14 Incas, actividad que se paralizó por causa del coronavirus.


“Anteriormente estábamos trabajando en consorcio con la empresa Espíritu Andino sacando vodka, por el problema del coronavirus la producción se estancó y conversando con los empresarios salió la idea de producir alcohol antiséptico de 70 por ciento de pureza a base de papa nativa de la variedad Muruhuayro”, mencionó el comunero de Vista Alegre, Rolando Gabriel.
Refirió que hace cuatro años proveen de los tubérculos ecológicos a la empresa limeña, y este año tenían previsto vender cien toneladas de papa nativa, pero ahora todo está atrasado y los tubérculos se están malogrando en el campo por ello buscaron la iniciativa de producir alcohol que ellos piensa en que es una luz al final de túnel.

Cabe indicar que, a la fecha en el distrito de Pazos no se ha registrado un solo contagio del coronavirus, debido a las medidas de bioseguridad que adoptaron las autoridades municipales para proteger a su población.
